Board of Directors

Craig Goodman, Ph.D.

Dr. Goodman served in the Israeli Defense Forces since 1999 as a military psychologist with the rank of Captain, and had service in Operation Cast Lead in Gaza and Swords of Iron. He has an extensive background in neurobiology, clinical psychology, and cognitive and neuroscientific fields of neurocognitive and neuropsychological testing. He studied at the Hadassah Medical School of the Hebrew University and had a Post-Doctoral Fellowship conducting neuroscience research at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion. He served as the Head Clinical and Neuropsychologist in the Psycho-Geriatric Ward and Holocaust Survivors Residence of Lev Hasharon Mental Health Center for 17 years. He also has been an adjunct lecturer at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine since 2002.

Shulamit Fruchter, MSW

Ms. Fruchter is a social worker with close to 40 years of experience. Much of it was gained through her service in the Israeli army as a mental health officer, with responsibilities including screening and evaluating applicants before and during military service. The military recognizes that recruits, including Lone Soldiers, can face many challenges such as feelings of disorientation, helplessness, loneliness, alienation, disappointment and disenchantment, loss of control, and lack of confidence. Her expertise is being able to assess, identify, and address possible challenges that a Lone Soldier may face during a move to Israel, transition into the military system, or reintegration into society at the end of their army service.

Doug Amnon Trebish
Mr. Trebish is the Founder and CEO of CaptiFi-IL, which provides financial management and bookkeeping services to a broad range of clients. Having worked with leading firms such as KPMG, GE Capital, and PwC, Doug has extensive knowledge and skills in financial compliance, data privacy, and internal audit. He brings financial acumen to ensure proper fiscal management using proven frameworks and methodologies. He previously served in the IDF as a Lone Soldier.

Shira Lankin Sheps, MSW

Ms. Sheps is the Executive Director and Founder of The SHVILLI Center; Jewish Support for Personal Development Practice and Wellbeing. She is a writer, editor, workshop facilitator, and clinically-trained therapist. She founded and published The Layers Project Magazine, an online magazine that explores in-depth insights into the challenges and triumphs of the lives of Jewish women for six years. She also is the author of “LAYERS; Personal Narratives of Struggle, Resilience, & Growth of Jewish Women”, and her essays and articles have been published by Times of Israel, JTA, The Jewish Press, Kveller, The Jewish Link, The Jerusalem Post, and World Mizrachi. She has a Master’s of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and lives in Jerusalem.

Eric Reinhard

Mr. Reinhard is a financial executive who areas of expertise include forecasting, reporting, systems, operations, and strategic planning. He brings corporate experience at a Big Four accounting/consulting firm, a developmental rotation through a Fortune 500 company and variety of other experiences including the non-for-profit sector as well as wide-ranging real estate and investment experiences. His specialties include operational management, analytics, due diligence, and training and mentoring.

Todd Aarons

Mr. Aarons bring extensive business and management background from the culinary arena. He is the Executive Chef and Culinary Director for KFoodGroup & Coincidentally Kosher restaurant consulting. During his career, he raised the bar of kosher culinary dining around the world with prosperous new concepts, including Tierra Sur at Herzog Winery as well as Crave and Bodega, located in Israel. He is currently one of the directors of the restaurant group, KFoodGroup currently launching new Kosher food businesses and concepts. He brings an entrepreneurial and creative spirit to advance and benefit the Jewish community.

Yehoshua Konig

Mr. Konig is an attorney working in private practice and a Major in the IDF Reserves. Since starting service as a Lone Soldier in the Kfir Brigade, he has since served as a reserve combat soldier for 16 years, earning multiple distinctions including for his service during Operation Protective Edge and Operation Swords of Iron. His extensive experiences in combat give him a unique insight into the many challenges that soldiers encounter during and following their IDF service. He is passionate about guiding young soldiers and helping them maximize their abilities as soldiers and reservists, as well as in their civilian life. Yehoshua earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Yeshiva University and his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law. He lives in Jerusalem.
